[ARCHIVED] Portland Celebrates PARKing Day on Friday, September 20

One Climate Change

The City of Portland's Sustainability Office will be participating in PARKing Day - an annual global event where citizens, artists and activists collaborate to temporarily transform metered parking spaces into “PARKing” spaces: temporary public places.  The Sustainability Office's space will be on Exchange Street, next to Tommy's Park during the workday on Friday, September 20th. There will be information about the City's climate action planning process - One Climate Future - and guest speakers throughout the day from various City departments - including Planning, Parks and Recreation, and Innovation and Performance Management - talking about initiatives they are working on that relate to the One Climate Future plan. A full schedule of talks will be posted to the City of Portland Sustainability Office Facebook page next week so stay tuned! If you aren't able to join them in their space, please take the second in a series of three One Climate Future surveys now!
