City Hall Open for Limited In-Person Services

City Hall is currently open for limited in-person services. This includes the Treasury Office, which is open by appointment only for auto registration. The City Clerk's Office and Parking Office are open for walk-in services via the Myrtle Street entrance.

Masks are required when in the building, even for those who are vaccinated. We have greeters at both the Congress Street and Myrtle Street entrances to City Hall to assist the public. The Chestnut Street entrance is for employees only.

City staff had been working on plans to open up City Hall to more in-person services, however because of the rise in COVID cases, variants, and updated information from the U.S. CDC and Maine CDC, the City Manager decided to continue operating in the same manner as the City has done throughout the entire pandemic.

Numerous City services are also available online, and all other business and transactions will continue to be conducted by email, virtually, and by appointment.
