About the Board
The Board of Appeals also known as the Zoning Board of Appeals, assists in the administration of the city’s zoning ordinance by:
  • Reviewing decisions of the building authority
  • Approving conditional uses
  • Granting variances
The board functions in a quasi-judicial capacity and holds public hearings, makes findings of fact and conclusions of law based upon applicable state and local zoning laws, and issues written decisions setting forth their findings and conclusions.
