Emergency Management

The City of Portland Emergency Management Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and integrating activities necessary to build, sustain and improve the capability to prevent, mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from threatened or actual natural disasters, acts of terrorism or other man-made disasters.

The Emergency Management Coordinator reports directly to the City Manager and coordinates emergency management activities with all City departments, in close partnership with the Portland Fire Department.
